Acrylic nail hack

Alright, this might sound a little out there, but hear me out. I'm seriously considering getting an acrylic nail on just one finger, I saw it somewhere and I think I wanna try it out, the guy used for picking wrenches on hardwood and I can relate because its like trying to pick up a piece of paper with wet fingers and I've wasted more time chasing those things than I'd like to admit
Have you guys seen something like this or tried it , or is there an alternative for the acrylic nails?

I haven't tried it myself, but I started using a thin rubber finger cot on my index finger and it works great for grip without the bulk. Cheap, easy to swap out, and no weird looks from clients!
