ditching a keyless Whitco double cylinder deadbolt

my brother bought this really cheap door off Facebook Marketplace, and it's actually in really good shape, which is awesome.

Only catch is, no keys! He already swapped out the doorknob no problem, but it's also got this Whitco brand double cylinder deadbolt that's giving him grief.
I helped him and checked the door, it isn't actually mounted yet, so he's got full access to both sides.

we managed to yank off the backing cover from the inside and get almost all the screws out.
But there's one last screw that he just can't get to unless we got the key to turn that round bit inside.

Any thoughts & tips for getting this thing off without a key?

Nice score on the door, and since it's not mounted, that helps a lot. You could try drilling out the cylinder, but go slow or otherwise, a locksmith might be the safest bet

What tools do you have on hand, have you tried drilling the cylinder or using a screw extractor, or is the lock too recessed for that to even work?
